Since
I first got my commodore 64 computer back in the early 80's, I was completely
astonished by the sonic quality this little brown box produced, and wished that
someday I will have the ability to use this sound in my own music.
A while back I remembered my old wish when I ran across some Commodore 64
emulators on the Internet. Then I got to hear the sound again and re-lived my
dream. I began investigating and found out that there are some products out there
that use the good old sound chip from the Commodore 64 computer to reproduce that
amazing sound.
The first product I learned about was the SidStation, and the second one
was the HardSid Quattro. Using both of these products side by side with an emulator,
finally made my dream come true! We used the Commodore sound technology heavily
when producing "This Sky-And Love says".
I couldn't prevent my retro feelings about Commodore 64 game music from pumping
up, so I decided to produce a remake for the wonderful music from the game "Commando"
composed by Rob Hubbard. In an earlier piece of mine called "Commodore64",
I had a little segment of that "Commando" remake lick. It was before
I even thought of doing a remake. I got so many e-mails from people that simply
demanded a complete "Commando" remake whichmade me start thinking that
it won't be such a bad idea...Well, so here it is. Below you can find links for
commodore 64 related sites and of course, my version of the music from "Commando",
which I call: "Stay Awhile Forever"

Stay tuned for more original Commodore 64 "retro"
tunes.
Enjoy,
Eitan Teomi.
